Here is our Catalina foothills property and mid project check-in. Watch the walkthrough so you get an update on what we’ve been doing so far.
In the front of the house, we’ve completely redone the landscaping and cleared out a lot of the vegetation. The landscapers are going to come back and they’re going to redo the landscaping and make it really beautiful. The roof has been completely redone and we’re currently restructuring the entire house and it’s going to be painted.
Let’s go ahead and take a look inside. Here we are in the front entryway. If you watch part one of the video, as you were walking in, it was very closed off and almost felt like you were walking through a cave. What we went ahead and did is we took down this wall and added a pony wall. So you’re now seeing directly into the dining room and the kitchen. We also raised the ceilings. So that meant we had to take out the duct work and the house now has two AC systems so that you really aren’t having to deal with that messy duct work. In the living room, the electrical is already wired and ready to go to install the recess lighting. And that’s actually throughout the entire home. We’ve also installed all of the brand new windows throughout the entire house. And in the living room, we have brand new French doors and also in the master bedroom, as you can see throughout the entire house, we’ve started texturizing so that when we paint.
Here we are in the dining room, which also leads into the kitchen. Again, if you saw part one, this space was really closed off and dark. We went ahead and opened the archway to really brighten it up and make it feel really big. All of the electrical is wired and ready for the recessed lighting, countertops, and cabinets. So within the next few weeks, we’re going to be adding brand new countertops, cabinets, and appliances.
Here we are heading to the guest bedrooms and bathroom. As you can see in all of the archways, we’ve made them a lot bigger and wider to really open and modernize the space. In both of the guest bedrooms, we’ve installed the brand new windows and the electrical is done for the new fans and lights. Go ahead and take a look into the guest bathroom. It’s been completely gutted and we’re going to be starting on that shortly to really freshen it up and make it really beautiful.
Here we are in the master bedroom. Again, electrical is done. We went ahead and installed the new French doors, as well as the new windows. The main thing I want to show you though, is the master bathroom. So as you can see, the vanity is gone. We went ahead and brought out the closet to make the shower a lot bigger. The linen closet that used to be on this side is gone. So our plan is to add double vanities, a makeup vanity, a pony wall, and then you’ll have your toilet.
Here we are under the patio in the backyard. As you can see, all the vegetation has been moved off for them to stucco and paint. And it’s a little bit of a mess back here, but it’s all part of the process. Once we’re closer, we’re going to re-landscape and make it look really beautiful. The next video you’ll be seeing at this house will be the final product. I hope you’re as excited for it as we are.
